We are a small, young, owner-managed company. We sell products from the Rex Specs and Traumhund dog beds brands, as well as a few other carefully selected items that we use ourselves or that we believe in. It's also important to us to pay attention to the ingredients in the treats we offer in our shop.
What is our origin story?
In short, we came to the online shop for dog accessories "like the virgin to the child".
In 2016, we adopted Carat, a 9-year-old German Shepherd, from the Heppenheim animal shelter. He suffered from an eye condition and was already blind in one eye. Because he was very sensitive to light in his seeing eye and needed protection, his dog walkers and sponsors, Diana and Martin, ordered Rex Specs dog goggles for him from the USA. With these goggles, Carat was perfectly protected from injuries and UV rays, and we were deeply relaxed on walks, knowing that nothing could happen to his seeing eye, such as being bitten in the bushes.

The quality of the glasses convinced us. Until then, Rex Specs dog glasses weren't available for sale in Germany. To help other dogs as well, we came up with the idea of setting up an online shop and distributing Rex Specs in Germany. No sooner said than done. Now, a few years later, we're the second-largest Rex Specs retailer worldwide.
In 2020, we had to say goodbye to Carat. Shortly after, Heidi moved in as a foster dog and, after three weeks, made it clear to us that she wanted to stay. You can learn more about Heidi in our blog: Heidi - our new pack member and dog glasses model.

Sustainability has been important to us from the very beginning. Cardboard boxes, for example, can be reused multiple times and don't necessarily have to be thrown away after the first shipment.
