All replacement lenses (including clear lenses) offer 99.99% UV protection (UV 400)
The tinted windows offer additional glare protection "on top". Dogs with light-sensitive eyes find the tinted windows more comfortable.
The coating on the mirror lenses is applied to the outside and is naturally a bit more scratch-sensitive. We call them "Sunday lenses." Minor scratches or abrasions on the mirrored coating are less of a problem for dogs than they are for us. Dogs tend to orient themselves more with their eyes when looking at distances. At close range, dogs primarily rely on their sense of smell.
For training the glasses we recommend the clear or smoke lenses.
